Designing for Rheumatoid Arthritis – A project with Pfizer
This week in Industrial Design NCAD myself Ben Millett and my teammate Alan Harrison along with the rest of our class started a project in association with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. We are researching and developing a product to make life easier for people with Rheumatoid Arthritis. We are focusing on a physical product namely from one of the following categories.
- Household appliances
- Clothing/clothing accessories
- Exercise/sporting equipment
- Beauty/health aids
- Home furnishings
- Kitchen devices
- Mobility aids
- Office products/equipment
- Packaging
- Gardening tools/devices
- Lighting devices
We are looking for people who may have RA and would like to share some information with us regarding task that you may find difficult and way that you find to make that task easier or to get around it in another way. Another thing we are interested in is modifications that you might make to tools and utensils so make them more suitable for use by people with RA.
